Ocean Blue Calligraphy Ink
This ink is handmade in À L'aise's London studio using natural mica powder and natural binders to create a super opaque shimmery ink. Unlike other inks, this ink has been especially designed to keep the shimmer mixed within the ink whilst in use to avoid the need to be shaken every 10 minutes.
This ink has been designed for use with a dip pen. Due to the nature of the natural mica used, the shimmer can settle over time, so before use it will need a shaken or a mixed. Make sure to wipe the jar and lid clean before closing to avoid the lid sticking.
These inks are water based and if it is too thick for your nib, a drop water can be added to dilute the ink. If the ink is too watery you can leave the ink with the lid off for the ink to evaporate slightly, we advise overnight.
This ink is water based and over time will naturally evaporate, you can add a drop of water to bring it back to the desired consistency.

We aim to dispatch orders within 1-2 working days and are sent via Royal Mail. Orders placed before 2pm Tues - Fri will be sent out same day. Orders placed on a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday will be sent out next working day. Orders placed on a Monday will be sent out on Tuesday. Our standard shipping options are:

Our packing supplies are boxes, envelope, bubble wrap and packing paper. We reuse packaging where possible to reduce our impact on the environment. We do not make profit from our P&P, all prices are based on current Royal Mail guidelines. Consequently the amount seen on your parcel may differ from the amount you were charged.
