Introduction to Traditional Calligraphy: Next Date TBC

Join us at the shop for an evening of Traditional Calligraphy, led by Calligrapher Jeni King. 

We will be working with The Foundational Hand, based on the circle and vertical straight line, which makes an excellent introduction to calligraphy!

We’ll learn how to use a broad-edged pen to make thin and thick strokes. Starting with basic principles, we will move on to exercises to enable you to be comfortable with your tools before learning to form letters. At the end of the session we hope that you’ll be confident to continue your practise at home and write a short quote.
